Integrated care and sustainability

Commitment from the board and Trust senior leadership is crucial to ensuring the success of embedding QI by creating the right conditions for quality improvement. Learn how to engage with senior leaders within Healthcare settings.

On this page you can access training videos and downloadable resources to help you sustain your project interventions that was recorded for the previous training wave of EQIP in 2021-2022.

Integrated care within NHS organisations involves reform and new organisational arrangements focusing on more coordinated and integrated forms of care provision.

Teams are encouraged to keep their senior management teams updated with their project interventions whilst on the programme and liaise with their network leads to keep abreast of developments from NHS England on future plans for epilepsy services within the long-term plan.

The Kings Fund report ‘Embedding a culture of quality improvement‘ published in November 2017  finds that:

NHS leaders play a key role in creating the right conditions for quality improvement. Leaders need to engage with staff, empower frontline teams to develop solutions, and ensure that there is an appropriate infrastructure in place to support staff and spread learning.’

On this programme your team will learn the skills to help sustain your project interventions and plant the seeds of change from the ground up. Teams are encouraged to share your service redesign ideas with senior management with the support of stakeholders and service user groups.
