Understanding Quality Improvement
It is important that individuals understand the principles of QI and provided with the specific tools and knowledge of systematic methods to identify the service gaps or needs to find a solution to continuously improve the quality of care and outcomes for patients.
In health care, quality improvement is the framework used to systematically improve the ways care is delivered to patients. Processes have characteristics that can be measured, analysed, improved, and controlled. Quality Improvement is a set of tools and techniques that help us understand the systems we work in and strengthen the way we work, in order to deliver improvement in outcomes.
During your training your team will learn these tools and techniques to aid you in finding the root cause of identified service gaps and working towards finding solutions on your QI journey.
On this page you can access training videos and downloadable resources to help you with using QI tools to plan, monitor and implement your project interventions that was recorded for the previous training wave of EQIP in 2021-2022.
